Getting Started with Flock: A Guide for Church Group Leaders

Welcome to Flock

Flock is the mobile-first app for church community group management. Whether you lead a small group, life group, Bible study, or Sunday school class — Flock helps you shepherd your people with prayer, presence, and proactive care.

This guide walks you through setup in under 5 minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Visit admin.flock.church and sign up with Google or email. No credit card required — the free plan includes every feature.

Step 2: Set Up Your Organization

After signing in, you'll create your organization (your church). Give it a name and you're ready to go.

Step 3: Create Your First Group

Navigate to Groups and tap Create Group. Give your group a name (e.g., "Tuesday Night Bible Study") and set the meeting details.

Step 4: Invite Members

You can invite members three ways:

  1. Email invitation — Enter their email address and Flock sends an invite
  2. Join code — Share a short code that members enter in the app
  3. Direct link — Share a URL that takes them straight to your group

Members can join with Google sign-in or email/password — whatever's easiest for them.

Step 5: Start Shepherding

Once your members join, you can:

  • Post to the Prayer Wall — Share requests, encourage others, follow up
  • Take Attendance — Snap a group photo and AI identifies everyone in 60 seconds
  • Create Events — Set up recurring meetings with one-click RSVP
  • Chat with Your Group — Built-in messaging with Bible verses, GIFs, and AI search
