Three Ways to Sign Up
Getting started with Flock takes less than a minute. You have three options for creating your account, and all of them give you full access to every feature from day one.
Option 1: Sign Up with Google
This is the fastest way to get started:
- Open the Flock app on your phone or visit flock.church on the web.
- Tap "Sign in with Google."
- Choose your Google account from the list. If you are already signed into Google on your device, this takes a single tap.
- That is it. Your account is created using your Google name and email. No password to remember.
Google sign-in is the method most Flock users choose because it is fast, secure, and eliminates forgotten passwords.
Option 2: Sign Up with Apple
If you use an iPhone or iPad, Sign in with Apple is a great option:
- Open the Flock app on your device.
- Tap "Sign in with Apple."
- Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.
- Choose whether to share or hide your email. Apple lets you use a private relay email if you prefer not to share your real address.
- Done. Your account is created instantly.
Sign in with Apple is built into iOS, so it is seamless on iPhones and iPads. Your identity is verified through Apple's secure authentication — no new password to create or remember.
Option 3: Sign Up with Email and Password
If you prefer not to use Google or Apple, you can create a standalone account:
- Open the Flock app or visit flock.church.
- Tap "Sign up with email."
- Enter your email address and choose a password.
- Verify your email by tapping the link sent to your inbox.
- You are in. Your account is ready to use.
Your password is encrypted and stored securely through Firebase Authentication — the same technology used by millions of apps worldwide.
What Happens After You Sign Up
Once your account is created, you have two paths depending on your role:
If You Are Starting a New Church Organization
You will be guided through creating your organization (your church). Give it a name, and Flock sets up your workspace. From there you can create campuses, ministries, and groups to match the way your church is structured.
You automatically become the organization administrator with full access to every setting.
If You Are Joining an Existing Group
If your group leader has already set up Flock, you just need to join their group. You can do this by:
- Entering a join code that your leader shared with you
- Tapping an invitation link sent to your email
- Scanning a QR code at your next group meeting
Once you join, you will see the group's Prayer Wall, upcoming events, chat, and roster right away.
Tips for a Smooth Start
Use the same email everywhere. If your leader sends an invitation to your Gmail address, sign up with that same Gmail account. This ensures the invitation links to your account automatically.
Complete your profile. After signing up, add a profile photo and your phone number. Your photo helps with AI-powered photo attendance, and your contact info makes it easy for your leader to reach you.
Turn on notifications. Flock can remind you about upcoming events, new prayer requests, and chat messages. Enable notifications so you never miss what is happening in your group.
No credit card needed. Flock's free plan includes every feature — prayer, attendance, events, chat, insights, and more. You can use it as long as you want without paying anything.
