Our Story
Built by Group Leaders, for Group Leaders
We didn't set out to build a church app. We set out to solve our own problem.
How It Started
Flock was born out of frustration. As small group leaders ourselves, we watched prayer requests disappear into GroupMe threads, took attendance on clipboards that nobody wanted to pass around, and had no idea who was quietly drifting away from our community.
We tried the big church management platforms. They were built for Sunday mornings — worship planning, check-in kiosks, giving. Nobody was building for Tuesday night small groups. Nobody was building for the leader who just wants to know: who needs a phone call this week?
So we built it ourselves. Flock is the app we needed — and the app we believe every group leader deserves.
Our Mission
No prayer lost. No person overlooked.
Every tool in Flock exists to serve one purpose: helping leaders shepherd their people with intelligence and heart. We believe technology should make pastoral care easier, not more complicated.
What We Believe
Our Values
Prayer-First
Prayer is not a feature we bolted on. It is the foundation everything else is built around. Every design decision starts with: does this help leaders care for their people through prayer?
Shepherd-Hearted
We build for shepherds, not administrators. Flock exists to help leaders know their people deeply — who is hurting, who is drifting, who needs a phone call this week.
Simple by Design
If a feature needs a tutorial, it is too complex. Every screen in Flock passes the 5th grader test. Core tasks complete in under two minutes, one-handed.
Secure by Default
Church data is sacred. Prayer requests, personal struggles, contact information — we protect it with bank-level security enforced at the database level, not just the UI.
